Updated: Apr 21, 2023

Welcome back, Honors students! This spring semester, we are here to give you the best places to eat on campus and the best locations off campus! Where should you and your friends get food this semester?

The first three locations are the spots you picked on our Instagram, and the following three are the closest places you can grab food off campus!

  1. The Nugget Grill and Pub

Opening just two weeks before the finals of the Fall 2022 Semester, the Nugget is back and thriving for students to enjoy on campus. This upper campus location, right next to the bookstore, is a great place to grab a slice of flatbread pizza, a burger, a salad, or beer, along with vegetarian options. From both the West and East parking structures, the Nugget is about a 15–20 minute walk to grab food, either dine-in or on the go. With its shaded outdoor seating, this is a great spot for studying later in the semester.

2. The Outpost Grill

This on-campus location is right across from the Political Science and International Education Center on the lower campus. A less than a five-minute walk from the Palo Verde parking garage and the Student Wellness and Recreation Center, this is a fantastic place to grab a pizza, burgers, salads, sandwiches, and vegetarian options. This location also serves breakfast and brews Starbucks coffee, along with serving alcohol for students over 21. Stop by The Outpost on your way to class or gather some friends and get some food.

3. Carl’s Jr.

An all-time favorite and an original classic, Carl's Jr. is another popular spot for Honors students to grab lunch from. This location has many breakfast options, but it also has many combo options to choose from! Carl's Jr. is the perfect stop on campus, located conveniently in the USU, for students who are on a budget and want to grab a meal within five minutes.

With three available options on campus, here are some spots you can head off campus!

With over 200 reviews and 4.1 stars, Blue Burro is a Mexican-style restaurant where you can grab food to go! Their menu is full of options to choose from, including burritos, tacos, salads, and their famous blue shake. This fantastic location is less than half a mile from the library, located in the Target shopping center across from the campus library, making it the ideal walking distance between classes.

2. The Crooked Duck
