As Fall is already here and Winter is around the corner, we are not far from some of our favorite holidays. To spice up the holiday vibes and warm up from the chilly weather, seasonal drinks and treats are essentials.
In past years, I would bake batches of Italian cookies and serve them with warm earl grey cinnamon tea. However, I would like to share an awesome cozy chai latte I recently discovered on Allison’s Youtube channel; she does lifestyle, travel vlogs, and sometimes shares recipes. You can also check out the recipe from Allison’s video and my video with the links I attached below.
Before we begin, this is an awesome and easy drink to make; it follows a 1:1 ratio recipe. To get started, some key ingredients that you will need are:
1 chai latte tea bag (depending on your choice of tea brand, you might want to use two bags for the extra aroma. I prefer Stash and Bigelow since they taste authentic and infuse a strong aroma)
1 tablespoon of can pumpkin (pumpkin puree)
1 cup of milk (you can also replace milk with nuts milk or water; I also opt for creamy or whole milk for a more silky drink)
1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, 1 teaspoon of maple syrup or sugar
1 cinnamon stick.
First, heat up the milk at low medium heat and bring it to a boil. I learned this from my experience to keep stirring while heating to prevent it from scorching the bottom of the pan. Turn off the stove, then add in a bag of tea. Let it steep for 5 minutes. Then add in the pumpkin puree, ground cinnamon, syrup/sugar, and whisk them up. To warm it up further, stir the latte one last time with the cinnamon stick.
Voila, you now have a warm pot of pumpkin chai latte tea! You can enjoy this with sweet treats like biscuits, or if you love to experience something new, you might want to give some of Trader Joe’s seasonal treats a try: Frosted Sprinkle Cookies, Soft Baked Snickerdoodles, Gingerbread Turkey, Butter Sandwich Cookies, and the Maple Leaf Cookies.
I genuinely hope you find the pumpkin chai latte recipe and the sweet treats cozy and yummy. Let me know if you would give them a try. You can share these with your loved ones and enjoy them while catching up on a show, chilling with music, or working.
Thank you so much and I wish you a wonderful holiday filled with warmth, love, and joy!
